Everyone seems to have profoundly unkind words for Katti Batti.It's a super flop. Let's write Imran Khan off for good now. I have a different take on the whole issue.
I think the movie worked.
I will state the reasons why?
1) Imran Khan still has a major fan following amongst girls when it comes to rom-com romance and that shows with first weekend collection of this movie. It did decent business.
2) It took ages to release but still drew a major crowd in the first week.
3) Finally it has grossed 22 crores and if we take the satellite rights - it will definitely fetch back the production cost of Rs 20 crores and more.
So why are people billing it a flop. It ran to limited shows, yet gave decent returns. No it's not a hit but it's definitely not a flop.
Imran Khan will live to fight another day. Let's not demolish the poor chap for nothing. He still has a major fan following when it comes to selling his chocolate boy image. The problem is somehow getting over that image of his....and this movie works not because of Kangana but Imran. I am sick and tired of Kangna doing something different and hat ke. Its getting to me.
