So everyone has watched Star Wars : The Force awakens so lets get to the plot and exploring the motivations of Kylo Ren.
Kylo Ren is exactly similar to Snape. JK Rowling created this amazing character, whom we hated all through the six books only to realize in the 7th that he was the real hero of the whole saga.
Kylo is exactly that and its staring right on our faces and I don't know how many of us could guess it right. Now lets explore his actions and I will tell you why its so apparent that he is the hero of the saga.
Lets start at the very beginning:-
1) When Kylo gets to planet where Rey is trying to escape - he captures her and leaves the planet not even thinking twice about retrieving the Droid which holds the key to finding his master Obi- Wan.
He does it for two reasons - a) he doesn't want the droid retrieved as that would lead the first order to OBI WAN his master - he protects him by not trying to track the Droid. Retrieving the Droid was definitely more important than capturing Rey but he does that.
b) He also does it because he wants to protect his sister - hence he captures her and brings her abroad.
c) He even senses his father Han solo but he doesn't do anything.
2) Secondly he also does that for another reason - he apparently tortures her to gain information but its actually Kylo unlocking the force within Rey. While doing that he unwitting exposes himself which Rey sees and even says a few unkind words to him. Just after the torture scene Rey actually starts displaying her Jedi powers by commanding the stormtrooper to open the door for her and leave the weapon.
3) Kylo Ren kills Han Solo to win the complete trust of the First Order just like Snape killed Dumbledore in the Half Blood Prince.
4) The fight between Kylo Ren and Rey is just a fight to awaken to force within her sister more - Rey will never find the force in her until and unless she fights for her life and that's what Kylo Ren does - Fight to awaken the force within her sister. He can never lose. He is a powerful Dark force but he does.
So the plot is Obi Wan trains Kylo Ren to a Jedi and when their forces are dwindling - Tells him to infiltrate the dark force as a Trojan and plant himself in the midst of enemies to gain their trust and finally come over to the light when the First Order is brought down.
